We are so excited to welcome you to the official blog for Lasting Impressions MO LLC!

Our company has been providing Individualized Supportive Living (ISL) services in Missouri since 2002, when Tom and Shannon Wassam opened their home to children with disabilities—believing that everyone deserves a loving home and a family. That same spirit continues to guide our mission today, more than 20 years later.

As those children grew into adulthood, we transitioned from a group home model to providing personalized ISL services—supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they live with independence, dignity, and purpose in their own homes.

Why This Blog?

This space was created for families, employees, community members, and anyone who believes in the power of person-centered support.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Stories of impact from the individuals and families we serve

  • Updates about our programs, trainings, and community initiatives

  • Helpful resources on disability services, advocacy, and navigating systems

  • Behind-the-scenes glimpses of our passionate staff and values-driven work
